Upon completion of the course, students should be able to:
- Apply the theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the business/industry.
- Demonstrate legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills, and appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the business/industry.
- Submit completed affiliation agreement within two weeks of beginning internship.
- Maintain weekly contact with instructor, electronic or in person.
- Complete Weatherford College Degree Plan.
- Petition for Graduation.
- Submit completed work journal validating completion of objectives and hours.
- Attendance: Attendance in this course is required. The student must complete the hours required above.
- Completeing all of the above will result in a grade of P (pass). Not completeing all of the above will result in a grade of F (failure) or U (unsatisfactory). Special circumstances may allow a grade of I (incomplete) to be awarded temporarily.
Final grades will be calculated by the following scale:
A = 90 - 100
B = 80 - 89
C = 70 - 79
D = 60 – 69
F = 60
Journal of activities.
Students will have basic preparation for accounting jobs in business or government. Students will have foundation knowledge internal accounting procedures. Students will have foundation knowledge in generally accepted accounting procedures
