Design II

Class
A continuation of the study and application of the elements and principles of creative design. Emphasis is on the three-dimensional design. Three hours lecture and three hours laboratory per week.
Student Learning Outcomes

All students are required to complete all class projects, participate in the faculty/student art exhibition, and complete a final project demonstrating knowledge of the three-dimensional process.

Course Competencies:

Upon successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:

  • Demonstrate use of various three-dimensional media
  • Apply construction techniques of three-dimensional media
  • Use the principles of art including repetition, variation, emphasis, and unity and their effective use in three-dimensional media
  • Effectively communicate with a viewer through the third dimension.
  • Present and exhibit work in an art exhibition.

The final project will be of the student’s choosing. It must be three-dimensional and show the basis principles of design including repetition, variation, emphasis, and unity.

Weatherford College also provides the Coyote Pantry. The Pantry maintains boxed and canned foods for students in need. The location of the Coyote Pantry is two blocks west of the Weatherford campus at the Baptist Student Ministry (118 E. Park Ave., Weatherford).
