Practical experience in the techniques of imaginative writing. May include fiction, nonfiction, poetry or drama. This course focuses on the study of forms and genres in creative writing with an emphasis on the current trends in contemporary literature. The development of style through modeling and analysis are the primary tools in developing writing skills. The emphasis of the course is on the relationship between the study of literature and its influence on creative writing.
