Academic Dishonesty Policy
Students may be subject to disciplinary proceedings resulting in an academic penalty or disciplinary penalty for academic dishonesty. Academic Dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating on a test, plagiarism, and collusion. For additional information refer to the "Student Code of Conduct" in the Weatherford College student handbook.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Define the main issues relating to the national fire problem.
- Identify and apply provisions of local building and fire prevention codes to fire prevention inspections.
- Describe fire inspection practices and procedures including hazard recognition and correction.
- Recognize the need, responsibilities, and importance of fire prevention as part of an overall mix of fire protection.
- Review minimum professional qualifications at the state and national level for Fire Inspector and Fire Investigator.
- Define the elements of a fire prevention plan review program.
- Identify the laws, rules, codes, and other regulations relevant to fire protection used by the authority having jurisdiction (AHJ).

Students will be evaluated based on their overall averages from the assignments, quizzes, class participation, semester long project, research papers, examinations and participations in discussion forums. The students grade will be calculated from the above actions by utilization of the below model

90% to 100% = A
80% to 89% = B
70% to 79% = C
60% to 69% = D
Below 60% = F
