Academic Dishonesty Policy
Students may be subject to disciplinary proceedings resulting in an academic penalty or disciplinary penalty for academic dishonesty. Academic Dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating on a test, plagiarism, and collusion. For additional information refer to the "Student Code of Conduct" in the Weatherford College student handbook.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Analyze fires by their classifications and identify what constitutes a fuel.
- Describe heat transfer and identify their distinct characteristics.
- Discuss the phases that a fire progresses through and their specific approach to extinguishment.
- Identify unique building construction techniques and their specific approach to extingiushment.
- Describe general information on effective fire ground operations with the use of manpower, equipment and apparatus.
- Develop a general understanding of proper strategies and tactics by analyzing and evaluating fire situations.

Students will be evaluated based on their overall averages from the assignments, quizzes, class participation, semester long project, research papers, examinations and participations in discussion forums. The student’s grade will be calculated from the above actions by utilization of the below model

90% to 100% = A
80% to 89% = B
70% to 79% = C
60% to 69% = D
Below 60% = F
