Musicianship I

Singing tonal music in treble, bass, alto, and tenor clefs. Aural study, including dictation of rhythm, melody, and diatonic harmony. One hour lecture and two hours lab per week.
Course Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of the course, the student will:

  1. Demonstrate ability to dictate and read/sing music
  2. Demonstrate ability to create music.(improvisation and composition)
  3. Demonstrate ability to conduct music.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to listen and identify basic music fundamentals
  5. Demonstrate the ability to recognize and know music theory.
