Topics address recently identified current events, skills, knowledge, and/or attitudes and behaviors pertinent to the technology of occupation and relevant to the professional development of the student. This course was designed to be repeated multiple times to improve student proficiency
In the weekly discussion forum the student will discuss application of theory, concepts, and skills involving specialized materials, tools, equipment, procedures, regulations, laws, and interactions within and among political, economic, environmental, social, and legal systems associated with the occupation and the organization/industry.
Upon successful completion of this course the student will be able to: Discuss legal and ethical behavior, safety practices, interpersonal and teamwork skills. Identify appropriate written and verbal communication skills using the terminology of the occupation and the organization/industry.
Students will be evaluated based on their overall averages from the
assignments, semester long project, and participations in discussion forums.
The students grade will be calculated from the above actions by utilization of the below model:
Assignments 30%,Participation/Discussion Forum 20%,
Semester Long Project 50%
90% to 100% = A 80% to 89% = B 70% to 79% = C 60% to 69% = D Below 60% = F
