Studio art course that introduces the fundamental principles, materials, and techniques of painting.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will:
- Generate works that demonstrate descriptive, expressive, and conceptual approaches.
- Apply the elements of art and principles of design.
- Use varied materials and techniques with informed aesthetic strategies.
- Analyze and critique works verbally and/or in writing.
- Relate painting to art history and contemporary artistic production.
- Demonstrate an appropriate level of professional practice, including safety, craft, and presentation.

Pantry hours are Mon-Thurs. 8:30 am-4:30 pm and Fri. 8.30 am-12:00 pm (817-599-6586).
