Academic Dishonesty Policy
Students may be subject to disciplinary proceedings resulting in an academic penalty or disciplinary penalty for academic dishonesty. Academic Dishonesty includes, but is not limited to, cheating on a test, plagiarism, and collusion. For additional information refer to the "Student Code of Conduct" in the Weatherford College student handbook.
Upon successful completion of this course, the student will be able to:
- Identify safety programs for various target groups; and conduct fire and public safety programs within a community.
- Describe the history of fire and life safety education programs both inside and outside the fire service.
- Identify the five diverse areas of learning fire and life safety fundamentals.
- Describe managing fire and life safety resources and personnel.
- Identify the planning process to include using data, knowing your audience, funding through outside sources, developing curriculum, and evaluating presentations and programs.
- Identify networking, forming coalitions, and working cooperatively.

Students will be evaluated based on their overall averages from the assignments, quizzes, class participation, semester long project, examinations and participation in the discussion forums. The student’s grade will be calculated from the above actions by utilization of the below model

90% to 100% = A
80% to 89% = B
70% to 79% = C
60% to 69% = D
Below 60% = F
