Specialized Training in Business Leadership

Class

The course is an intensive training in the specific concepts and skills related to general business/ leadership functions. Students will learn to recognize and grow in four areas to strengthen workplace skills. Areas addressed in the course include the following:  

•    Assertiveness in the Workplace: Learn to say what you mean and mean what you say. Obtain skills to become a more effective communicator in the workplace.
•    Imposter Syndrome & Level of Motivation: Private, brief assessments will be given for both Imposter Syndrome and Level of Motivation. Students will have the opportunity to share their responses should they choose to do so. Students will learn the impact of these experiences and their effects, followed by applicable tactics to eliminate them and regain the confidence and motivation needed to perform at the highest level possible.
•    Emotional Intelligence (EQ): A heightened level of EQ has been proven through numerous studies to be directly related to a person’s success in their career while simultaneously improving their quality of relationships, communication, and adaptability. The course will improve understanding of precisely what EQ is, how it works, and how to improve in this skill set.

Weatherford College also provides the Coyote Pantry. The Pantry maintains boxed and canned foods for students in need. The location of the Coyote Pantry is two blocks west of the Weatherford campus at the Baptist Student Ministry (118 E. Park Ave., Weatherford). Pantry hours are Mon-Thurs. 8:30 am-4:30 pm and Fri. 8.30 am-12:00 pm (817-599-6586).
