Program Description
The Weatherford College Regional Fire Academy is designed to prepare cadets for a career as a professional firefighter. Cadets successfully completing the Texas Commission on Fire Protection approved Basic Firefighter Academy are eligible to sit for the State Certification Exam.
Cadets successfully completing the program will obtain college credit and a strong, well-balanced educational background preparing them to serve and protect the community. Cadets will also acquire the technical knowledge needed to combat the fire problems created by modern living.

Program Requirements
Special Notes: Basic Fire Academy - requires background check, drug testing, and advance contact with Fire Academy office. Students take TCFP State Exam upon completion.
