Program Description

The Associate of Applied Science in Cosmetology at Weatherford College prepares students for a dynamic career in the beauty industry by combining hands-on technical training with foundational academic coursework. This program is designed for individuals seeking licensure as a cosmetologist in Texas and wishing to advance their education with an associate degree.

Students will gain expertise in hair cutting, coloring, styling, chemical treatments, skincare, nail care, and salon management. The curriculum integrates theory, practical application, and customer service skills, ensuring graduates are well-equipped for employment in salons, spas, or as independent professionals.

Upon successful completion of the program, students will be eligible to sit for the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) Cosmetology licensure exam.
