Program Description

Courses in the BAT, MHSM will be offered in an online/hybridized format, optimizing the time in the classroom while taking advantage of the workplace experiences of the student. While a good deal of the coursework is online, hybrid courses offer students opportunities for real-time exchanges that would otherwise be impossible for those participating at a distance. The degree is designed to produce graduates capable of handling their chosen professions' personnel and physical resource management obligations in ethical, innovative, and fiscally responsible ways.

Opportunities abound for graduates of the Bachelor's Degree in Medical and Health Services Management. Careers in Medical Practice Manager, Business Office Manager, Clinical Manager, Practice Administrator, Practice Manager, Facilities Manager, Patient Coordinator, Medical Office Coordinator, Clinical Administrator, and Office Manager all become accessible to the BAT graduate. A recent review yielded 169 current openings across the state of Texas appropriate to those with a Bachelors in Medical and Health Services Management. Graduates of the Bachelor's of Applied Technology in Medical and Health Services Management would also be eligible to apply for acceptance into Master's Programs in Health Care Administration.
