Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) with an emphasis on airway management. Designed to develop skills for resuscitation of the adult. Includes strategies for managing and stabilizing the cardiopulmonary arrested patient. May include certification based on American Heart Association standards. (1-1-1)
Describe the principles, techniques, and complications of intravenous and electrical therapy, airway control, ventilation, and supplemental oxygen; analyze cardiac dysrhythmias; integrate basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and summarize airway management principles.

Your attendance is the biggest predictor of your success. Attendance at every class is expected. Due to the fact that the 16 hours of instruction and 16 hours of lab are mandatory for obtaining ACLS certification, there will not be any absences allowed in this course
